In which certain parts of the apartment are extremely dry

We have a dehydrator!  There are now slices of two orange Jubilee tomatoes, one Cherokee Purple tomato (which I wish I had a picture of — it was one of those impressively convoluted ones), and one red tomato of forgotten breed drying.

The CSA pickup included 10 pounds of regular tomatoes, and approximately 5 pounds of cherry, plum, and paste tomatoes.  We had sauteed summer for dinner last night — tomatoes, okra, sweet frying pepper, hot pepper, sweet corn, eggplant, summer squash, and squash blossoms (plus two itty bitty butternut squashes! from the volunteer squash in the compost pile) all sauteed up with a little seasoned salt.  For lunch today, Ben added some tofu and curry sauce to the leftovers, plus potatoes both for starch and to fill out the set of edible nightshades.
