Graaaaains!

We now have a grain mill.  Yaaaaaay!  It is a Country Living Grain Mill, plus repair kit, bean auger, and power bar.  We set up the flywheel and tested some of the kamut without bolting it to anything, and it wasn’t very much effort to produce finer flour than we’ve been getting from Wood Prairie.  Properly bolted to something and with the power bar on, this will produce excellent flour!  The only problem is that we don’t really have anything to bolt/clamp it to.  The dining room table will do in a pinch, but it’s not really heavy enough.  What we’re thinking of doing is bolting it to something to raise it up a bit, then bolting *that* to a large piece of plywood, big enough to sit on, so we can set the entire assembly to the floor and have our own weight be what keeps it stable.
