More garden news

The basil was very wilty this morning, but we had a bucket of shower water to dump on it, so hopefully that will make it perk up some.

We planted clover all over the front yard, to act as a nitrogen fixer and anti-erosion cover until we plant the actual garden next year. I think the rest of the clover seeds will go along the paths of the garden so that it looks nice and doesn’t turn into dead dirt. The vines we pulled up a couple weeks ago and the grass and other weeds we pulled out in preparation for the clover are turning into a semi-compost pile on the other half of the yard. I’m going to just keep adding yard clippings to it and see if the landlord notices/objects…
