Farmers’ Markets

Alas, this is not a post filled with very much local produce.

We tried to go to the Boston Public Market yesterday, since it didn’t say it wasn’t open on Memorial Day (there was a note saying two others were closed, so this seemed like a safe assumption).  No dice.  No rhubarb, either.  Oh, well.  We now know where it would have been, and we had a nice day grocery shopping in Chinatown anyway.  I was hoping to find some bean curd skin to work with, but they only had it in the ginormous size.  And by ginormous, I mean “a stack of circles 2.5 feet in diameter”.  Seasonal eating will commence in earnest next week when the Central Square market and the BPM are open.

Sorry about that! Please come back when we are open (not today, rained out)!
